Bachelor ⎯ Modules offered by the department (all in German)
- Numerical basics with Python (NumGruPy)
This module is offered in summer semesters and is a specialization module of the bachelor's degree of the Materials Science Curriculum (4. semester). - Computer-Aided Materials Science (CoMa)
This module is offered in winter semesters and is a core module of the bachelor's degree of the Materials Science Curriculum (5. semester). - Overview of Materials Science
Part of this bachelor module are student seminars, about 20 minutes of self-made lectures. A possible topic is computer-aided material modeling (e.g. molecular dynamics or ab initio calculations). The seminars are offered in summer semesters.
Master ⎯ Courses offered by our department (all in English)
- Material design by ab initio methods (MDAM)
This module is offered in winter semesters and is a specialization subject in the material science Master curriculum. - Diffraction methods in material science
This module is offered in summer semesters and is a specialization subject in the material science Master curriculum. - Atomic Transport and Phase Transformations (ATPT)
ATPT is a compulsory module of the material science Master curriculum. The ATPT module conveys the fundamental knowledge about materials behavior that is essential to any material scientist. This module is offered in summer semesters.
Bachelor and Master
- Colloquium Materials Science
Colloquia about current topics in material science, jointly offered by the departments of the Institute of Material Science.
