Overview of materials science

The course "Overview of Materials Science" is intended to deepen a topic out of the field of material science. A few weeks before the start of the lecture period, 2-3 topic  are offered by scientists. 5-12 participants can register for each topic. Registration takes place directly via the persons who offer the respective topic. The contact details are included on the annoncement (see the links below).

The course is organised as a scientific seminar (presentation of an own lecture and discussion of the contributions of other students) and the certified visit to the materials science colloquium (6 lectures). Each participant must present a lecture during the seminar. The individual lectures should be discussed and discussed.

The module is completed with an oral examination in front of two examiners (selection from the lecturers active in the module, right of proposal by the student).
